Note on Marine Web Site from His "Mom"

Our son decided just over one year ago to join the Marines. It was a shock in some ways, then as he talked about serving and only willing to serve if he could be with the best, the pride started to swell. The day after our son graduated from boot camp, we were having a conversation and he told us "Thank you, I wouldn't be who I am without you". Talk about pride beaming and tears flowing. Then the proudest moment of my life as a mom, my husband looks at our son and says "I have never been able to answer the question, 'Who is your hero?' until today, son. You are MY HERO!"
